Google just gave Pixel owners a huge reason to upgrade to Pixel 4a (5G) this Black Friday

If none of the Black Friday phone deals that you have come across so far are good enough for you, here is a great one from Google, but it has a major string attached. 9to5Google has noticed that the Mountain View giant is really highlighting one phone in particular during this season of sales – the Pixel 4a (5G).

The phone still costs $499 on the official Google Store, but if you are upgrading from an older Pixel phone, you’d be delighted to know that the trade-in values have been bumped up. This unfortunately only applies to Pixel 4a (5G), but given that the value being offered is massive, we are sure there would be no complaints.

If your phone is in pristine condition, you can have up to $320 shaved off from the price of the Pixel 4a (5G). This essentially brings the price down to $179, which is a total steal. After all, this is one of the best midrangers around. The handset sports a 6.2 inches screen, and is underpinned by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. The dual-camera array can easily give some of the flagships on the market a run for their money. It is only available in the color Just Black.

You get $320 if you part with your 128GB Pixel 4XL. At $235, the Pixel 2 carries the lowest trade-in value. Make sure you go to “Start trade-in” on the Extra services page to avail this promotion.

And of course, if you’d rather buy the almost-flagship Pixel 5, or you want to upgrade to the Pixel 4a (5G) without trading in an older phone, you can check out our compilation of Pixel Black Friday deals.
