June 26th, 2024 will be the last of the full month’s Social Security payment days. So United States retirees who have a check from the SSA should have the money in their checking account by then. Otherwise it is possible that the payment will be late, so it may be time to claim the benefit from the Administration.
But there is nothing to worry about generally speaking, since the check usually arrives without delay to people’s checking accounts. The important thing in these cases is to know what are the conditions and requirements to be able to enjoy the Social Security to the maximum on the day that the Administration sends it to our pocket.
And in this sense we only have two requirements to fulfill to be part of the group of retirees who will collect on June 26th. However, it is true that we will only be able to get Social Security on that day if we meet a third requirement. This third requirement is the collection method is taken and it is very important to have the money as soon as possible.
June 26th Social Security requirements
First of all, it should be noted that neither the type of benefit nor the age of the retiree influences the day of the month on which we get the Social Security money. Thus, both disability beneficiaries and age-based retirees can enjoy this benefit if they meet the requirements.
With this in mind, let’s see what are the two mandatory requirements and the third extra requirement to get the money on June 26th itself:
- Turn birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. This requirement is mandatory.
- Have been receiving Social Security benefits since after May 1997. This requirement is also mandatory.
- Have Direct Deposit activated as a collection method. Although this requirement is not mandatory to be part of this group, it is mandatory to have the money on June 26th, 2024.
In short, we must be part of group 4 retirees and have Direct Deposit activated in order to be able to enjoy this benefit next week. This payment will be the last one for the entire month of June 2024, so after that we will have to wait until July to enjoy a new check from Social Security.
