Global video game commerce company, Xsolla, has unveiled a number of new launches and milestones, as well as an acquisition, as it looks to enhance its influence across a larger region and help developers unlock enhanced revenue and increase conversion rates.
Xsolla has expanded its payment solution across Southeast Asia, East Asia, and Pacific markets. It explained that by entering these new markets, it can unlock new territories and optimise existing payment channels for the most important region for gaming worldwide, representing 46 per cent of global game revenues.
Xsolla extends its payment solution by integrating Maya, PayNow, WeChat Pay HK, JazzCash, and Easypaisa for video game developers and gamers in the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Pakistan. Following this expansion, game developers could reach over 76 million gamers across these markets and increase conversion rates through localised payment interfaces and local processing.
The video game commerce firm has also successfully acquired LF.Group, a digital solutions provider for gaming communities. Following this news, the firms will look to integrate advanced technology to improve the experience of creators and gamers alike.
The collaboration will focus on, Xsolla’s commerce solution, ‘Xsolla Mall’, which facilitates the distribution of game content through influencer custom-branded shops and direct-to-consumer stores. It will also utilise LF.Group’s advanced Discord bot technology, enhancing interactions and transactions within gaming communities.
David Stelzer, president of Xsolla, commented: “Investing in technology and providing innovative solutions that enhance the gaming experience for developers is central to our strategy. This acquisition will significantly enrich our capabilities by incorporating LF.Group’s technological strengths in our commerce framework.”
New products and services
Xsolla has also revealed new products and services, with an overarching aim to support game developers in publishing games and increasing their revenue potential. It has now launched ‘Xsolla Instant Game Sales’, ‘Instant Launcher’, and ‘Instant Cloud Gaming’, following the release of Instant Web Shop in March 2024.
Xsolla partners with game developers and studios of all sizes, offering a swift process to sign licence agreements, integrate solutions, and generate revenue promptly, accelerating go-to-market time with direct-to-consumer solutions.
After Xsolla found that many developers struggle to quickly go live with their games and offerings, it made the decision to provide more seamless integration and offer developers of any size with instant tools to open new revenue streams for their games.
Xsolla has also launched a new Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK), to help developers expand their payment options, go direct-to-consumer, and improve their game’s revenue potential. The release will enable developers to integrate their games on Android and iOS platforms, with a global payment solution and webshop.
These integrations help to broaden the potential for mobile game monetisation globally, as well as unlock new distribution channels.
